TBDUK Directors Digging First Cut on New Factory Extension – July 2010
Steve Meredith Managing Director of TB Davies (UK) Ltd is pictured cutting the first sod of the new extension to the TB Davies (UK) manufacturing plant on the Waterton Estate, Bridgend. The Company already manufactures on three sites and the new 30,000 sq.ft. extension will take the manufacturing facility up to 60,000 sq.ft. The eaves height of the new state of the art building will be 9 meters which will be fitted with two ten ton cranes and will allow manufacture of the very biggest aircraft docking systems and passenger stairs. Through a grant from the Welsh Assembly Government, the Company has already completed the first phase of building work, which includes installation of a top paint plant which will significantly speed up the manufacturing process.
The second phase of the extension will be completed in February 2011 in time for the full order book which is already in place for next year.
