Designed and developed especially for aircraft ramp maintenance engineers, the flip top step is quick to position and safe to work from in all weather conditions. The step comes complete with standard 30mm towing eye for easy towing.
This versatile step has been especially designed and developed with aircraft ramp maintenance engineers to provide a versatile safe user friendly stable work platform for fast turn round access and maintenance activity in all conditions. Easy to tow, manoeuvre and position with large wheels, robust turntable steering with auto braking/ jacking and optional additional kick down front jacks. Large non-slip self draining treads with full length low level platform and a lightweight aluminium upper Flip Step.
The latest models of this proven access step are now fitted with telescopic stainless sliding handrails on all three sides. This easy to operate handrail system is supported by maintenance free bearings and provides total safety for all configurations and working heights.
The steps are now available as standard with enhanced specification running gear including heavy duty foam filled 600 x 9 tyres. For “hanger use only” lighter duty wheels can be fitted as an option.
Crank action front jacks are fitted as standard and these are lowered automatic when the tow bar is raised and stowed. In addition to the self setting forward jacks additional kick-down jacks are available as an option. However, these are not generally required for normal applications.
