The UK MOD commissioned TBDUK to design and manufacture a vehicle to support the Harrier Jump Jet. The De-min Truck (shown below) takes water from any source and then coverts it into de-mineralised water, an essential element in the Harrier’s ability to hover. This unique, compact vehicle removes the need for a fleet containing both a producer and a carrier resulting in major efficiency and energy savings. The De-min Truck is transportable by air and is seeing active operational service wherever the Harrier aircraft is stationed.
From concept to finished solution in under six months; the De-min Truck is yet another example of TBDUK’s success in delivering to the most demanding time scales.
Also available within this range are truck mounted water and toilet servicing vehicles to support a wide range of military and commercial aircraft. These are supplied with 2500 and 4000 litre fully stainless steel tanks and a range of optional features including lift baskets where appropriate.
