This unit facilitates the mixing and introduction of diluted “ELSIL” hydrogen peroxide solution into the aircraft potable water system in the precise measured quantities required for sterilisation of the tanks and pipe work.
The unit is built on a compact and robust 4 wheel trailer and incorporates a backboard mounted tandem pump water powered dosing system, inlet and outlet water hoses on stainless steel reels and locations for the containers of concentrated “ELSIL”.
The dosing system comprises two water powered dosing pumps each capable of handling between 10 and 5000 litres per hour of water at dosing rates between 0.07 and 0.2 %.
The pumps are piped in parallel with ball isolation valves which allow them to be used individually or in combination to provide delivered flow rates of between 10 and 6000 litre/hour. The dosing system also incorporates a battery powered water flow meter to monitor flow rate/volume delivered and sampling points for solution testing on both the inlet and outlet connections.
The 15m x ¾ bore inlet and outlet water hoses are mounted on stainless steel spring inertia return hose reels and fitted with ¾” aircraft potable water connectors for attachment to the aircraft and a suitable water servicing vehicle. Alternatively the inlet hose can be fitted with a mains water connection if the utility supply pressure is suitable.
The trolley incorporates suitable retainers for stowing standard size “ELSIL” concentrate containers and PVC side curtains to keep the equipment clean when not in use.
